A small practice with a genuinely personal approach

The Physiology Collective was founded in 2022 by Clinical Exercise Physiologist Rachel Costelloe.

Rachel wanted to create a practice where people feel known as individuals—not processed through a standard program. Since then, the practice has grown into a small team providing Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, NDIS services, women’s health support, rehabilitation and community-based care.

Our team works with people across different stages of life and with a wide range of health conditions, disabilities and functional needs.

Clinical evidence guides what we do, but the person in front of us guides how we do it. We listen to your experiences, explain your options and involve you in decisions about your care.

“The person in front of us guides how we provide care—not simply the diagnosis written on a referral.”

Our Story

How The Physiology Collective began, how we have grown and where we are going

The Physiology Collective began with a belief that effective healthcare must be both clinically sound and workable in real life.

Rachel’s experience across hospital rehabilitation, private practice, disability and NDIS services showed her how important it is for people to feel heard, understand why recommendations are being made and have support adapted around their circumstances.

The practice was created to provide individualised care without judgement, unrealistic expectations or a one-size-fits-all approach.

Since opening, The Physiology Collective has grown from an Exercise Physiology service into a small multidisciplinary practice providing Exercise Physiology and Occupational Therapy.

Our Manly West clinic opened in 2024, creating a dedicated space for individual appointments, rehabilitation and small-group exercise.

We have continued developing services across women’s health, disability and NDIS, neurological rehabilitation, paediatrics, bone health, healthy ageing, chronic conditions, hydrotherapy and community-based care.

Our goal is not to become the biggest allied health practice. It is to continue building a skilled, supportive team that provides consistent and genuinely individualised care.

We are committed to improving accessibility, strengthening collaboration with other healthcare professionals and developing services that respond to the needs of our local community.

As we grow, we will continue to protect the values on which the practice was founded: listening, respect, choice, clinical quality and care that fits real life.
