Women’s Health Exercise Physiology

Personalised exercise support for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause, bone health and every stage in between.

Women’s health support that understands real life

Women’s health is not one-size-fits-all. Your body, health, responsibilities, recovery and relationship with exercise are uniquely yours.

At The Physiology Collective, we provide individualised Exercise Physiology support that considers the whole person—not simply a diagnosis, stage of life or list of symptoms.

Whether you are navigating pregnancy, rebuilding after birth, managing the demands of caring for a family, moving through menopause or protecting your bone health, we will help you find an approach that feels safe, practical and achievable.

Our focus is not on “bouncing back” or meeting unrealistic expectations. It is about helping you feel informed, capable and confident in your body.

Start where you are. Progress at your pace. Build strength for your life.

How Women’s Health Exercise Physiology can help

More than a general exercise program

An Accredited Exercise Physiologist is an allied health professional who uses clinical exercise, movement and education to support people living with health conditions, injuries or changing physical needs.

We begin by understanding your health history, symptoms, current capacity, daily demands and personal goals. We then develop an exercise plan that is appropriate for you and progress it as your body, circumstances and confidence change.

Build strength and capacity

Develop the strength and physical capacity needed for everyday activities, parenting, work, recreation and the things you enjoy.

Exercise with confidence

Understand what is appropriate for your body and learn how to exercise safely, effectively and independently.

Manage symptoms and health conditions

Use individually prescribed exercise to support your overall health, function, energy, mobility and quality of life.

Return to meaningful activity

Work towards returning to the gym, running, sport, work, community activities or a more active lifestyle through gradual, clinically guided progression.

What to Expect

Choose the type of support that best suits your needs, goals and current stage of life.

Your first appointment begins with a conversation about your health, symptoms, exercise history, daily responsibilities, concerns and goals.

Your Exercise Physiologist will select assessments relevant to you. These may explore strength, movement, fitness, balance, function or confidence with particular activities.

We develop an exercise plan that reflects your needs, preferences, available time, access to equipment and current stage of life.

Your program is reviewed and adjusted as your capacity, recovery, symptoms and goals change.

You will always be included in decisions about your care. Your preferences, comfort and goals guide the process.

Collaborative Care

Working Together to Support You

Women’s health is rarely supported by one profession alone. With your consent, we can collaborate with your GP, midwife, obstetrician, pelvic-health physiotherapist and other treating professionals.

Exercise Physiology complements this care by supporting whole-body strength, cardiovascular fitness, physical capacity and a gradual return to exercise, work, recreation and everyday activities.

If we identify a concern outside our professional scope, we will discuss this with you and help direct you to the most appropriate professional.
